Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) constitute a binding agreement between JIT Labs (“JIT,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) and you (“you” or the “Customer”). These Terms govern your access to and use of jit.dev (the “Site”) and all products, software, tools, and services made available through the Site (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you (a) acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms, (b) agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, and (c) agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind such entity, and “you” will refer to that entity.

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on the Site or otherwise providing notice. Your continued use of the Services after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

1. Eligibility; Account Registration; Account Security

1.1 Eligibility. You must be capable of forming a binding contract under applicable law to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority, you may only use the Services with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

1.2 Account Creation. You may need an account to use parts of the Services. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.

1.3 Account Security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security incident at support@jit.dev.

1.4 Account Termination. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for any violation of these Terms or for conduct that, in our reasonable judgment, could harm the Services, users, or our business interests.

2. License and Access

2.1 Limited License. Subject to these Terms, JIT grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Services for your personal or internal business purposes.

2.2 Restrictions. Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law, you will not (and will not permit any third party to): (a) copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Services; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover the source code, underlying models, algorithms, or architecture; (c) access or use non-public areas of the Services; (d) circumvent or violate usage limits, quotas, or access controls; or (e) use the Services for any illegal, infringing, harmful, or abusive activity.

2.3 Reservation of Rights. The Services are licensed, not sold. JIT and its licensors reserve all rights not expressly granted herein.

3. Intellectual Property

3.1 JIT Materials. As between you and JIT, JIT owns all right, title, and interest in and to the Services and all related technology, software, models, tools, templates, documentation, designs, content, interfaces, know-how, trademarks, logos, and other materials, together with any updates, enhancements, and derivative works (collectively, “JIT Materials”).

3.2 Your Materials. As between you and JIT, you retain ownership of: (a) data, files, prompts, inputs, and other content you upload or submit to the Services; (b) content and outputs generated for you by the Services (subject to third-party rights and excluding JIT Materials); and (c) applications you create using the Services (collectively, “Customer Data” and “Customer Applications”). You are solely responsible for the legality and use of your materials.

3.3 Feedback. If you provide ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant JIT a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display such feedback for any purpose without obligation or restriction.

4. Data; Privacy; Security

4.1 Categories of Data.

  • Usage Data (owned by JIT). We collect telemetry, logs, performance metrics, device/browser metadata, and session activity to operate, secure, and improve the Services, including for analytics and benchmarking. Usage Data does not include your source code or uploaded content.

  • Customer Data (owned by you). Prompts, files, configurations, and outputs you submit or generate. We process Customer Data to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services, including support and diagnostics.

  • Personal Data (PII). Information that identifies or relates to an identifiable individual (e.g., name, email, IP). We use PII to provide accounts, authentication, support, billing, and related operations in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4.2 Operational Access. Authorized JIT personnel may access your workspace data solely as needed to provide support, maintain reliability, and ensure security; such access is restricted and logged.

4.3 Aggregated/De-identified Information. We may create and use aggregated, de-identified metrics and benchmarks that do not reveal Customer Data or personal identities.

4.4 Data Retention and Deletion. We retain Customer Data and PII as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services and comply with legal obligations. Upon verified request to support@jit.dev, we will delete Customer Data from active systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days, unless retention is required by law or necessary for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance.

4.5 Privacy Policy. Additional information on our data practices is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

5. Services; Plans; Limits; Support

5.1 Plans and Limits.

  • Free Plan.

  • Pro Plan.

5.2 Support. Pro subscribers may contact support at support@jit.dev for platform issues. Support excludes custom development, code debugging, or third-party integrations and is subject to our availability and capacity.

5.3 Service Changes. We may modify or discontinue any feature or component of the Services at any time. If a change materially reduces core functionality for a paid subscription, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice.

5.4 Limits. We reserve the right to impose limitations on the number of messages that may be sent or received on a daily basis. Such limitations may vary and are subject to change at our sole discretion, depending on factors including, but not limited to, server load, system performance, and the availability of data from third-party AI providers.

5.5 Plans. We may modify plans and pricing at any time.

6. Credits; Rollover (If Applicable)

If your Free or Pro subscription includes usage-based credits, the following applies:

6.1 Expiration. Rolled over credits expire twelve (12) months after issuance.

6.2 Cancellation. Upon cancellation or non-renewal, unused and rollover credits expire at the end of the then-current billing period and have no cash value.

6.3 Changes. JIT may modify or discontinue credit rollover in its discretion, subject to applicable law.

7. Subscription; Billing; Taxes; Cancellations

7.1 Subscription. The Services may be offered on a subscription basis (monthly or annual), billed in advance for each term, and set to auto-renew unless cancelled.

7.2 Billing and Payment. You authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge your payment method for applicable fees and taxes. You agree that use of third-party payment services (e.g., Stripe) is subject to their terms.

7.3 Price Changes. We may change prices upon notice. Price changes will apply to the next renewal term unless otherwise stated.

7.4 Cancellation. You may cancel at any time through your account. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. Because the Services are digital, all sales are final unless otherwise stated.

7.5 Taxes. Fees are exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, and governmental charges, other than taxes based on our net income.

8. Acceptable Use; AI-Specific Restrictions

8.1 Prohibited Uses. You will not:

  • Access or use the Services in any manner that violates law, infringes rights, or harms others;

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services, including through denial-of-service attacks, automated scraping, or excessive requests;

  • Upload or distribute malware or other harmful code;

  • Attempt to bypass security, access controls, or usage limits;

  • Create multiple free accounts to evade limitations.

8.2 AI-Specific Restrictions. You will not:

  • Use the Services to generate or disseminate unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content;

  • Misrepresent AI output as human-generated where it is likely to mislead others;

  • Attempt to extract or reconstruct model weights, training data, or proprietary datasets;

  • Use the Services or outputs to train, evaluate, or improve competing AI models or services.

8.3 Enforcement. We may remove content, suspend or terminate access, limit features, deny refunds, and/or report illegal activity to authorities, in our discretion, in response to violations.

9. DMCA; Copyright

We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, please send a notice to support@jit.dev including:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work;

  • Identification of the material you allege is infringing and its location;

  • Your contact information;

  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use is not authorized; and

  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

If your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to support@jit.dev. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material consistent with applicable law.

10. Publicity

If you are a business entity, you grant JIT a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your name and logo solely to identify you as a customer on the Site and in customer lists and pitch materials. You may revoke this license at any time by written notice to support@jit.dev.

11. Third-Party Services; Open Source

The Services may interoperate with third-party products and services. Your use of any third-party offering is governed by that provider’s terms, not ours. Some components may be offered under open-source licenses, which are provided for your review and will control in the event of conflict with these Terms for those components.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES, SITE, JIT MATERIALS, AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JIT AND ITS SUPPLIERS AND LICENSORS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PARTICULAR USE CASE.

AI Output Disclaimer. The Services may generate code, text, or other content using artificial intelligence (“AI Output”). AI Output may contain errors, omissions, or vulnerabilities and may not be unique. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any AI Output before use, especially in safety-critical, legal, medical, or financial contexts.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL JIT OR ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR COSTS OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICES, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY AND EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT WILL JIT’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO JIT FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY. THE FOREGOING LIMITATIONS WILL APPLY EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.

IF YOU RESIDE IN CALIFORNIA, YOU WAIVE CALIFORNIA CIVIL CODE § 1542, WHICH STATES THAT A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS THAT THE RELEASING PARTY DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN THEIR FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE.

14. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless JIT and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your Customer Data or Customer Applications; or (d) your violation of any law or third-party rights.

15. Export; Sanctions; Compliance

You represent and warrant that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country or person subject to U.S. embargoes or sanctions. You will comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws in connection with your use of the Services.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved exclusively through competent courts or tribunals of appropriate jurisdiction.

Class Action Waiver. All disputes will be handled on an individual basis. You and JIT Labs agree not to pursue claims as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding.

17. Term; Termination; Effect of Termination

These Terms are effective upon your first use of the Services and continue until terminated. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for any violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the Services ends, but Sections intended by their nature to survive (including, without limitation, Intellectual Property, Data, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, and Miscellaneous) will survive.

18. Miscellaneous

18.1 Entire Agreement. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and JIT regarding the Services and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements on the subject matter.

18.2 Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without JIT’s prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.

18.3 Severability; Waiver. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. No waiver is effective unless in writing and signed by an authorized representative of JIT.

18.4 Notices. We may provide notices via the Site, in-product notifications, email, or other reasonable means. You agree that notices sent to the email address associated with your account are effective. You may contact us at support@jit.dev.
