Terms of Service
Last updated: March 30, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of jit, including its hosted services, website, command-line interface (CLI), APIs, MCP integrations, downloadable software, and any related tools, features, and services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by JIT Labs (“JIT Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Services only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
You may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep that information updated.
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must promptly notify JIT Labs at support@jit.dev of any suspected unauthorized access, credential compromise, or security incident involving your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for the Services, interfere with other users, or expose JIT Labs to legal, operational, or security harm.
2. Scope of Services
These Terms apply to all jit offerings, including the hosted platform, websites, dashboards, preview links, CLI, APIs, MCP tools, downloadable software, open-source components, self-hosted software, support materials, and related documentation.
The Services may change over time. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, limits, plans, or functionality at any time. We will use reasonable efforts to give notice before material adverse changes to paid hosted plans, where practical.
3. Limited License
Subject to these Terms, JIT Labs grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Services for your personal or internal business purposes.
Except to the extent expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law, you may not copy, modify, create derivative works of, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code, non-public functionality, models, algorithms, or architecture of the hosted Services.
All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by JIT Labs and its licensors. The Services are licensed, not sold.
4. Your Content and Ownership
As between you and JIT Labs, you retain ownership of your files, code, prompts, inputs, configurations, deployments, generated outputs, and other content you upload, submit, publish, or generate through the Services (“User Content”), subject to any third-party rights.
You are solely responsible for your User Content, including its legality, accuracy, security, licensing, and consequences of publication, sharing, hosting, or distribution.
You grant JIT Labs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, display, reproduce, and otherwise use your User Content solely as necessary to provide, operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the hosted Services, and to comply with law.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the Services, you grant JIT Labs a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them without restriction or compensation.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Services in any unlawful, infringing, harmful, abusive, deceptive, or fraudulent manner.
Without limitation, you may not use the Services to upload, publish, transmit, deploy, distribute, execute, promote, or facilitate: malware, ransomware, spyware, botnets, phishing pages, credential harvesting, exploit kits, denial-of-service activity, unauthorized scanning, spam, pirated or infringing material, content that violates applicable export controls or sanctions, or content intended to bypass security controls or harm users, systems, or networks.
You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems, interfere with or disrupt the Services, evade quotas or access controls, create multiple accounts to avoid limits, or use automated means to overload the Services.
You may not republish content that has been disabled or removed by JIT Labs unless we explicitly authorize it in writing.
You may not use the Services to impersonate another person or entity, misrepresent affiliation, or conceal the origin of harmful content or messages.
6. Content Moderation and Enforcement
JIT Labs may, but is not obligated to, monitor the Services and review User Content for compliance, abuse prevention, trust and safety, service integrity, and legal requirements.
We may remove, block, disable, quarantine, refuse to publish, or report User Content if we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, our policies, applicable law, third-party rights, security requirements, or poses risk to users, infrastructure, or the public.
We may suspend access, terminate accounts, limit features, preserve evidence, and cooperate with law enforcement or third parties where appropriate.
7. Hosted Services; Fair Use
Hosted links, preview deployments, custom domains, subdomains, and similar hosted resources are provided subject to availability, infrastructure constraints, and fair use.
JIT Labs may impose reasonable limits on bandwidth, requests, storage, file sizes, retention periods, number of projects, public sharing, or other usage metrics. We may also disable or remove hosted projects that create an unreasonable burden on infrastructure or operations.
Subdomains or domains controlled by JIT Labs may be made available at our discretion for testing, sharing, development, previews, and demonstrations. We may change, reclaim, disable, or discontinue such domains or access to them at any time.
8. Open Source Components
Some software, SDKs, CLI components, libraries, connectors, templates, or examples may be distributed under open-source licenses. Your use of those components is governed by the applicable open-source license terms.
To the extent an open-source license expressly conflicts with these Terms with respect to a particular open-source component, the open-source license will control for that component only.
9. Self-Hosted Software
JIT Labs may provide self-hosted, downloadable, or source-available software that you install or operate on infrastructure not controlled by JIT Labs.
When you self-host, you are solely responsible for deployment, configuration, patching, backups, disaster recovery, uptime, monitoring, access control, secrets management, network exposure, regulatory compliance, and the security of your environment and data.
JIT Labs does not operate, monitor, or secure your self-hosted environment unless expressly agreed in a separate written agreement. We are not responsible for downtime, data loss, data corruption, breaches, malware incidents, misconfiguration, third-party compromise, regulatory violations, or other damage arising from your self-hosted use.
10. Privacy and Data Processing
Our collection and use of personal data are described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Where required by applicable law, individuals may have rights including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to certain processing, and request portability of their personal data, subject to legal limitations and verification of identity.
If you require a data processing addendum or have a privacy rights request, contact support@jit.dev.
11. Security
JIT Labs uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect the hosted Services and hosted customer data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
No method of transmission, storage, or security control is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your devices, networks, credentials, access permissions, and any integrations, endpoints, or environments under your control.
12. AI and MCP Features
The Services may include AI-assisted features, generated output, automation, and MCP-related tooling or integrations.
You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any generated output, code, suggestions, or automation before using it in production or in any sensitive, regulated, safety-critical, legal, medical, financial, or security-relevant context.
13. Third-Party Services
The Services may interoperate with third-party hosting providers, registrars, payment processors, AI providers, analytics tools, storage providers, identity providers, and other services. Your use of those offerings may be subject to their separate terms and policies.
JIT Labs is not responsible for third-party services, including their availability, security, performance, content, fees, acts, or omissions.
14. Fees, Billing, and Taxes
Certain features may require payment. If you purchase a paid plan, you authorize JIT Labs and its payment processors to charge the applicable fees, taxes, and recurring subscription amounts to your payment method.
Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable and exclusive of taxes, duties, and similar governmental charges. We may change pricing, plans, usage limits, or packaging at any time.
15. Suspension and Termination
These Terms begin on your first use of the Services and continue until terminated. You may stop using the Services at any time. JIT Labs may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk or liability, or where necessary to comply with law.
Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
16. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN ‘AS IS’ AND ‘AS AVAILABLE’ BASIS TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. JIT LABS AND ITS SUPPLIERS AND LICENSORS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY, AND SECURITY.
17. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JIT LABS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES.
18. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless JIT Labs and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, suppliers, and licensors from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your User Content, your use of the Services, your self-hosted deployment, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
19. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which JIT Labs is established, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on the website. The updated Terms become effective when posted unless stated otherwise. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
