The Pantheon is one of the best-preserved ancient Roman buildings, originally built as a temple to all the gods of Ancient Rome.

Built in 126 AD by Emperor Hadrian, the Pantheon has stood for nearly 2,000 years. It was converted to a Christian church in 609 AD.

The Pantheon's dome was the largest in the world for over 1,300 years. The oculus (open hole) at the top is 8.8 meters in diameter.
