YOUTH SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME VISION BEARER; BRO GEORGE MAXINE INTRODUCTION The youth spiritual growth and empowerment programme has been developed to fully inspire the youth and unveil the truth of the light that brings life to men drawing them closer to God because that is what He (GOD) requires of us. Scripture shows us that Christ is the body of the church (the children of God) and the church can never be complete when some children (those who make up the body of Christ) are still left out or in simpler words the body of Christ is not yet complete because some of His children have been left out and there is need of bringing and gathering them closer to Him for full connection. So, our main point of concentration is to make the body of Christ complete. REVIEW ON UGANDAS STATISTICS. Uganda is a country with an estimated population of around 45.5M people and yet that is just an estimated number meaning there are still many Ugandans outside there, viewing the religious statistics, the Pentecostal or evangelical coverts (BORN AGAINS) in 2014 were estimated to be 11% of the total population and recently in 2024 statistics proved that there was a slight increase of 3% making the percentage rise to 14% of the estimated population. This is still an indication that there is a lot of work yet to be done by the CHURCH. When you check in the prison, you will find out that there are approximately 79,933 PRISONERS, with the largest age bracket being 18-35 years, which constitutes 75.2% of the population and so this proves that the youth have become the victims of circumstances and convicts. CAN THE STATISTICS BE CHANGED? Biblically the bible says nothing is impossible with God (Matthew 19;25) and the law cannot be dealt with by the law, and that’s why Christ says I did not come to abolish the law although He showed us that there exists a spiritual dimension where the law can be partnered with and dealt away with legally. We want to enlighten the youth and open their consciousness to the understanding of God, producing a positive impact on the statistics above is not our work because we can’t do it with our own effort but if God leads us then His manifestation can be seen. The only way to do this is enabling them (the youth) find purpose in the world and this can only be done when we introduce them to the spiritual world of our Lord Jesus Christ. PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION Spiritual Growth (Ephesians 4:15): It is the ongoing, intentional journey of transforming one’s inner life, deepening understanding, and connecting with a higher purpose or reality. It involves developing self-awareness, compassion, and a sense of connection to something greater than one self, leading to a more meaningful life and increased inner peace. This process is personal, looks different for everyone, and may involve practices like prayer, meditation, ethical living and community. Key aspects of Spiritual Growth; Self-discipline; understanding your true self and personal growth over time. Purpose and Meaning; gaining a deeper sense of purpose and meaning in life. Connection; developing a deeper connection to a higher power, consciousness, or the world around. Inner Qualities; cultivating qualities like compassion, empathy, gratitude, and inner peace. Values and Beliefs; reflecting on and aligning one’s actions with deeply held values and beliefs. Spiritual Empowerment (2 Timothy 1:7): is the process of developing an inner strength and capacity to connect with divine power, enabling one to live a more fulfilling, purposeful, and courageous life, often by aligning with spiritual teachings and facing challenges with faith and hope. Key aspects of spiritual empowerment; Inner Strength: It involves cultivating an internal power and resilience to navigate life’s difficulties, rather than relying on external circumstances. Divine Connection: It entails honoring and acting on intuitive and divine guidance, fostering a deeper relationship with a higher power or spiritual path. Fulfillment and Purpose: Spiritual empowerment provides the capacity to live more fully and pursue one’s purpose, both materially and spiritually. Overcoming Challenges: It equips individuals with the courage and wisdom to confront difficulties, knowing they are supported by a greater force. Personal Growth: The process of spiritual empowerment leads to personal growth, leading to transformative effects on one’s spiritual practices and experiences. VISION To spiritually grow and empower the youth with yielded discipline as a fruit of faith. The only way of growing the youth spiritually is by maintaining a deep spiritual connection with them and pull them to the world of light, making them feel good and free in the new family of Christ allowing them freely express themselves in the kingdom. MISSION To continue with the ministerial work of our Lord Jesus Christ, bringing to accomplishment and fulfillment of the scriptural prophecies. Isaiah 40:3 emphasizes us to prepare the way of the Lord and the only way of fulfilling the prophecy is when we prepare, shape and position ourselves to where He needs us to be. GOALS To awaken the divine purpose hidden among the youth To expose the youth to a deeper connection with God To change the different perspectives of the world among the youth To fully submit the youth to the will and plan of God CONCLUSION Jesus said that the harvests are plenty but the laborers are few and then He sends out the 12 to go and make disciples (Matthew 28:19) of all nations. This is the assignment the we believers have since we are also His disciples and He gave us a formula of how we can capture a variety of several people from across the world in the shortest period.
